Will Kyle Busch outdo Carl Edwards? Can two-time defending champ Jimmie Johnson leapfrog his new Hendrick teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr.? Does Tony Stewart have one last hurrah in him for Gibbs, or is the ever-steady Jeff Burton likelier to go deep into the Chase?

If it's almost September, then it's nearly time for the Sprint Cup Chase for the Championship, and in honor of the 2008 flavor, ESPN.com is launching its Race For The Cup fantasy game. Each week, you'll be presented with 10 race match-ups, and have to pick who'll finish higher in that week's Chase event. If it's Talladega, do you ride a Gibbs contender like Denny Hamlin, or do you recall RCR's halcyon restrictor-plate days, and try Kevin Harvick? Do you take a Homestead ace like Greg Biffle, or circle the ever-dangerous Jeff Gordon on your entry sheet?

For this 10-race extravaganza only, you'll have a chance to win fabulous prizes. The entrant who picks the most correct head-to-head winners in all 10 races combined will win a trip for two to a NASCAR race next season, and an $1,100 gift card from Circuit City. The second-place finisher gets that $1,100 Circuit City gift card. And each week's winner gets an ESPN hoodie sweatshirt and hat. That, friends, pretty much rocks.

So enter now, then come back during each week of the Chase and look for heads-up previews written by me, your friendly neighborhood ESPN.com fantasy racing expert. I'll take the upcoming week's track history into account, plus the driver histories on each particular track type, and tell you who I think has a great shot at topping his opponent. Then you'll either accept my opinion as gospel (always the smartest thing, of course), or buck the trend and go it alone. You'll pick those 10 match-ups, you'll enter a tiebreaker answer and voila: you'll have that much more riding on each Chase race. It's free, it's fun, and it's got a figurative pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. So come on in: the Chase-flavored water's fine.
